Drahuws', collection of culture-inspired pop-art features vibrant colors, hidden messages, and sometimes a black historic hero as the main character who is accompanied by a cast of figurative characters. Her use of cartoonish style characters, Black Krusty or Black Kristof, to reflect the historic figure's omnipresent creative mind illustrates a story with the present conscious mind talking to the subconscious mind. Evoking the influences of The Simpsons and Pop artist Kaws, and Kehinde Wiley her goal is to have each piece strike a conversation that I would transfer her audience's conscious mind back into time with the help of their imagination.
